This calculator works out the take off distance of an aircraft or drone that takes off conventionally. The underlying equations are given at the bottom of the page

Take off Distance

Inputs

Density of Air (in kg/m3): The air density varies with ambient temperature. Air density is 1.29 kg/m3 at 0 degree centigrade. The density of air is 1.12 kg/m3 at 40 degree centigrade.

Aircraft Mass (kg): Aircraft mass including the payload.

Area of Wing (m2): The total wing area in square meters.

Coefficient of Lift (CL):  Dimensionless value that represents the lift generated by the wing

Thrust (N): Thrust force generated by engines

Coefficient of Drag (CD): Dimensionless value that represents the drag generated by wing

Rolling Resistance (µ): Rolling Resistance number representing friction.
